Core Taekwondo Program (Ages 8 & Up)

Discipline. Strength. Confidence. Growth.

Our Core Taekwondo Program at Confidence Club Martial Arts is where students ages 8 and up take the next step in their martial arts journey—and in their personal development. Designed to challenge the body, sharpen the mind, and strengthen character, this program blends traditional Taekwondo training with powerful life lessons that help kids and teens grow into confident, capable, and respectful individuals.

Whether your child is new to martial arts or continuing from our Little Kicks program, the Core Taekwondo Program offers the ideal environment to train hard, think clearly, and lead with purpose.

A Structured Program for Real Growth

The Core Program is structured around our rotating curriculum, which gives students the opportunity to practice key skills consistently while introducing new techniques each cycle. As students move through our belt system, they are challenged to improve not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

Each class is designed to improve:

Technique – Students learn and refine blocks, stances, strikes, kicks, and self-defense applications appropriate to their rank.

Forms – Our curriculum includes traditional Taekwondo forms that promote balance, memory, discipline, and attention to detail.

Sparring – Controlled, age-appropriate sparring teaches strategy, timing, respect, and courage.

Self-defense – Practical, real-world techniques give students tools to protect themselves and others.

Fitness – Students improve strength, endurance, speed, flexibility, and coordination in every class.

But even more than physical skill, our focus is on the habits and values that shape future leaders.

The Core Values We Emphasize:

Respect – for instructors, training partners, parents, and themselves

Self-Discipline – the ability to stay focused, work hard, and delay gratification

Confidence – built through consistent effort, small wins, and big breakthroughs

Perseverance – pushing through challenges instead of giving up

Integrity – doing what’s right, even when no one is watching

Courtesy – treating others with kindness and humility

Indomitable Spirit – never backing down in the face of adversity

Every class is a chance to put these values into action—and every belt test is more than just a physical challenge. It’s a milestone in a student’s personal growth.

What Class Looks Like

Core classes are 45minutes long and are divided by rank or age group to ensure students are challenged at the right level. Each class follows a structured format to create consistency, build focus, and maximize training time:

1. Warm-Up & Mobility Drills (5–10 minutes):
Light cardio, flexibility work, and dynamic movement to prepare the body.

2. Technical Drills (15–20 minutes):
Hands-on work on stances, strikes, kicks, combinations, and pad work.

3. Curriculum Focus (15–20 minutes):
Forms, self-defense, sparring drills, and belt-level skills.

4. Skill Application & Reflection (5 minutes):
Students reflect on how class lessons apply to home, school, or life.

5. Wrap-Up & Recognition:
Positive reinforcement, goal reminders, and motivation to continue.

We strongly recommend 2 classes per week to build retention, confidence, and momentum on the path to black belt.

Belt Progression and Personal Responsibility

Progress in Taekwondo is measured through our structured belt system, which gives students clear goals and a sense of purpose. As they prepare for each test, students learn how to set goals, stay committed, and take ownership of their effort. Belt tests are earned—not given—and students are expected to demonstrate both technical skill and strong character in order to advance.

Along the way, students earn stripes for key milestones in areas like form performance, attitude, effort, and leadership. These small markers keep students motivated and accountable.

Who Is This Program For?

Our Core Program is ideal for:

Beginners ages 8 and up with no previous experience

Graduates of the Little Kicks program ready for the next level

Students looking for structure, physical fitness, and mental focus

Kids who need a confidence boost or positive outlet for energy

Families seeking an activity that reinforces discipline, effort, and respect

No matter where a student starts, our instructors meet them at their level and encourage them to grow. We believe that every child has the potential to become a black belt in Taekwondo—and in life.

Why Families Choose Confidence Club

Parents consistently share that our program helps their children develop:

Better focus and task completion at school

Improved respect at home and in social settings

Stronger physical fitness and coordination

Increased resilience and willingness to try new things

A sense of pride, identity, and purpose

But what really sets us apart is our approach. We don’t just teach kicks and punches—we coach character. We push for excellence while offering support. And we celebrate every student’s journey, whether they’re on their first day or preparing for black belt.

Expert Instructors. Positive Environment. Proven Results.

Our instructor is passionate, experienced, and deeply committed to every student’s success. We believe in firm but kind guidance, clear communication, and a training atmosphere that promotes effort, humility, and growth.

Students are treated with respect and encouraged to take pride in themselves, their school, and their progress. We build a community where every student is seen, heard, and challenged to become their best.

Start Strong. Stay Committed. Succeed for Life.

If you’re looking for a structured program that teaches more than martial arts—and equips your child with the tools to face life’s challenges with confidence, resilience, and respect—the Core Taekwondo Program is your next step.

Try two classes a week and experience the transformation for yourself. The journey to black belt begins with one confident step.
