At Confidence Club Martial Arts, our Family Taekwondo Program is one of the most powerful and unique experiences we offer. This program invites children, teens, and adults to train side-by-side in an inclusive, high-energy environment where families grow stronger—physically, emotionally, and relationally.
We believe that families who train together build stronger bonds, share deeper respect, and create lasting memories. Whether you're a parent looking to be a strong role model, a teen wanting to try something new, or a younger child excited to kick and move with Mom or Dad, our Family Program brings everyone together on the mat with one shared goal: becoming the best version of yourselves—together.
Most extracurricular activities separate families—kids go one way, adults go another. Our Family Taekwondo classes flip that script by creating a space where everyone trains side-by-side, supports each other, and shares the journey.
Here’s what makes our Family Program so special:
Quality Time – Instead of sitting on the sidelines or waiting in the car, parents and kids get to be active together in a shared experience.
Shared Goals – Families set, work toward, and achieve goals together, like earning belts, improving fitness, or learning new techniques.
Mutual Respect – Training together breaks down communication barriers and builds new levels of understanding and encouragement between family members.
Fitness for All – Everyone improves strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance—at their own pace and ability level.
Life Lessons at Home – The values practiced in class—respect, perseverance, self-discipline—carry into your home and strengthen your family dynamic.
Whether it’s your first time trying martial arts or you’re continuing your training alongside your children, our Family Program is a chance to connect, challenge yourselves, and grow together.
Our Family Taekwondo classes are designed to accommodate all ages and skill levels. We separate students by experience or belt level during portions of class so everyone is challenged appropriately—but we also come together for shared drills, teamwork, and encouragement.
Each 45 minute class includes:
1. Warm-Up (5–10 minutes)
A fun, energetic start to class with group mobility and cardio, designed for all ages.
2. Technical Training (15 minutes)
Kicking, blocking, striking, and movement drills tailored to each student’s age and rank.
3. Forms or Curriculum Practice (15 minutes)
Students work on rank-specific forms, self-defense techniques, or partner drills. Family members often help each other during this time.
4. Life Skill Challenge (5 minutes)
Group discussions or demonstrations that highlight respect, leadership, or perseverance.
5. Wrap-Up & Recognition (2–3 minutes)
Celebrating hard work with high fives, belt progress tracking, or student shoutouts.
We balance structure and fun to keep kids engaged, teens challenged, and adults motivated.
This program is perfect for:
Parents and children ages 8+
Siblings of different ages who want to train together
Grandparents and grandkids looking for a fun, meaningful activity
Families looking for fitness, connection, and personal growth
Students who love martial arts and want to share the experience with their family
No experience is required—our instructors will guide every student at their own pace.
Families in our program often share how training together has improved their communication, strengthened their relationships, and added a sense of teamwork to their home life. They cheer each other on during class, help with practice at home, and celebrate belt promotions as a team.
These shared wins create memories that last a lifetime—and help instill lifelong values that go far beyond kicks and punches.
Some of the biggest takeaways families report:
Better communication and encouragement at home
Shared language around discipline, effort, and attitude
More patience and respect between parents and children
A healthy, active alternative to screen time

We understand that a 40-year-old and a 7-year-old learn and move differently. Our instructors are experts at adapting drills, techniques, and expectations based on age, ability, and experience—while still maintaining the shared class structure that makes family training special.
Children build confidence, focus, coordination, and respect.
Teens develop leadership, resilience, and self-discipline.
Adults improve strength, flexibility, fitness, and stress relief.
Everyone trains at their own level—but always together, with support and encouragement.
We recommend families train twice a week to build momentum, develop skill retention, and enjoy consistent bonding time. The more often families train together, the stronger the connection and faster the progress.
Many families use this time as a healthy, productive break from school, work, and technology—a reset that centers their week around shared goals and movement.
Our belt system gives families shared milestones to celebrate—whether it’s a first stripe for your child or a new rank for Mom or Dad. Testing is about more than just technique; it’s about growth, effort, and character.
And nothing compares to the pride of watching your child break a board, or hearing them cheer for you as you earn your next belt.
We also host special events, family challenges, and holiday-themed classes that bring even more fun and creativity into the training experience.
